Summer Time!

Yeah! its summer time and I finally had a whole day off to spend with Zoey. I decided that we would go swimming and boy, was it nice and refreshing in the 101 degree heat! Here are some cute photos and a video clip or two of Zoey playing.

Zoey is getting so big and looking and acting more like a big girl every day. She has all her own little ideas about the way things should be and is learning to talk really well.

Here is Zoey playing catch with her ball. Too cute.

This is Zoey in her little floaty 'boat'. She is such a water baby and never wants to get out of the water. I am going to teach her how to swim and kick her legs while paddling this summer.

I've got videos to share!

I thought it would be cool to add some cute older videos to my blog page, so here they are...

Here is Zoey in the bath tub at about one year old. You will hear a few of the first words she ever learned to say and even see her cute little wave "bye-bye".

This is a fairly long but, adorable video clip of Zoey, close to 1 and half years old, playing and then being chased by the insane "Mommy monster". This is what I used to do all day long when I was a stay-at-home Mom. It was fun while it lasted and I wouldn't have traded that precious time for anything in the world.

Okay, here is a cool clip of Brian, Zoey and I hiking up at Red Rock Canyon. I think it is so cute to see all of our personalities come out just within a minute or two of filming. so cute. Enjoy!

Our Trip to Arizona!

This is the type of landscape that you see for 6 hours between Vegas and Arizona. It is actually very beautiful in its own desert artistic sense and I loved all the different types of cacti we saw.

Our Drive started at 6 in the am. and unfortunately, we found out along the way that Zoey gets car sick. She threw up 3 times all over her two different outfits I brought, her blanket and my towel. She ended up naked for the rest of the drive and the car stunk to high heaven. I had to wash the car seat first thing when we arrived at Debbies.

Here is the little sicky herself. But,can you really get upset with a face this cute? Poor little Zoey. Mommy still loves you, even if you did barf all over my arm when I tried to clean you up.

Here is a great shot of Kris and Jamie's boys before the wedding.

And the girls looking so cute after Aubrey did thier hair. Great job Aubrey!

Here is Brian all dressed and ready to go. I was impressed, he actually got ready in 15 min. flat!

Here is Zoey. It took me a lot of begging and pleading to get her to agree to let me take this photo. She absolutely loved it over at Debbie's house, playing with all the fun kids and babies. She didn't want to stop and pose.

This is my Niece, Ashley and cute baby Regen with little pigtails. I loved getting to see all the new babies and it dawned on me while I was there that I am a Great-Aunt! Can you believe that!

Here is Kirk's Parents that I just fell in love with! They are such a cute, sweet couple.

This is my baby Janis Joplin. Doesn't she just portray that image to you? The cute little flapper dress, long beads, fluffy hair and wild eyes...and of course, Mr. bear, who she held all night long, even while she ate and danced on the dance floor.

Here is the one photo I got of my beautiful sister Debbie walking down the isle for the wedding.

Shortly after this was taken, Zoey ran out of my arms and down the isle and I had to chase her in front of everyone in the middle of the procession, while she played chicken with me around some bushes and a low block wall, running from side to side to evade me. Most frustrating and embarrasing for Mommy, although, Daddy found the entire thing "amusing" and told me so with a big grin. Thanks for the support, Bri! Stinker pot.

Here is my Nephew, Kris waiting to be married . The Wedding was held outdoors and the lighting was just gorgeous. The sun was shining through the trees, birds were chirrping and there was even a water fall behind the alter area in which birds would fly down and get a drink or take a quick bath.

Here are the Grooms men. David, Aubrey's husband is on the far right.

And the Bridesmaids. Ashley is on the far right here. Debbie made all the flowers and boutineers..totally awesome and impressive. Everyone looked so nice.

This is a great shot of the wedding area.
Thier wedding reminded Brian and I so much of our own. It was a nice trip down memory lane and to remind us of our own vows and love for one another. In fact, The wedding was on the 3rd of May and we will be celebrating our first year wedding anniverary in exactly one month on June 3rd. Congratulations-we made it!

This is Jamie, Kris's new wife, looking beautiful in her white gown. Welcome to the Bowman-Juchau Family. Our extended family just keeps growing one beautiful life after another. Thanks Mom and Dad for starting it all!

Here is Brian after eating one of the most delicious mexican dishes we have ever had. The food was fantastic! they had it set up buffet style and brought in each of the kids a bowl of fresh fruit with a plate of french fries and chicken fingers. Zoey loved it!

Here I am with Zoey who was getting sleepy and my Niece, April with her son, Devon. He is getting so big and handsome now. I loved getting the chance to talk with and get to know all of my nieces and nephew again after so many years. It is so cool because we are all about the same age and are just starting getting married and having kids too, so , we all have alot in common. Its almost like having a whole other set of sisters and a brother. April told us she has horses and has even extended an offer to Brian and I to go riding with her sometime. I love horse back riding...Totally exciting!

Time for the cake cutting. It was such fun to watch Kris and Jamie struggling, trying to saw through the top layer of white cardboard supporting the layers! We had to do the same thing at our wedding! Good job guys! The cake was a dark red velvet with thick cream frosting...so delicious!

Well, It was a totally fun trip, (minus the ride down, of course, which was a disaster) and we had a wonderful day on Sunday before heading back home. We spent the morning playing guitar hero and singing kareoke with Aubrey, David and Alana and then, after everyone got home from church, they kids all got to play with one another. Debbies house is great, she has all sorts of toys for the day care kids and Zoey especially loved the little play kitchen and fake food. She finally warmed up to all of Kris and Jamies kids and I saw her playing with other kids for the first time instead of by herself or acting scared. I wish we lived closer and had more family around for her to grow up with like I did, with lots of family and siblings. It will take years for me to make one of my own. Can't I just borrow yours? Ha ha. Then, We got to have Sunday roast dinner with Debbie's family and It was so wonderful to see how much Debbie reminds me of Mom and her children remind me of "us"; my siblings. They each have qualities and personality traits straight from the Bowman's. It was like having dejavu or flashbacks to my youth. I loved every second of it and I am so looking foward to the family runion this year to see everyone again. I especially miss you, Mom and Dad! I love you so much! Thank you Debbie for your warm hospitality and to Kris and Jamie for inviting us to the wedding- Congratulations! Love you all and hope to see you again soon!

"Pharmacy Tech-in-Training"

WOOHOO! I got my Pharmacy Tech-in-Training license! Now I am a full blown, certified cool person in the pharmacy. I love my job now- it is both intresting and challenging and I get to help a lot of nice, older people who are genuinely happy to have my help. It has taken me 5 months to get to this point, working my way through the stress and pain of cashiering heavy groceries and then, the boredom of simply ringing up pills 8 hours a day. Now, I have all sorts of new duties and even filled my first RX today. I'm excited and silly, I know.

Easter Day!

Happy Easter!

"What did the Easter Bunny bring you Zoey?"

"Whats inside?"

"Okay, time to count the eggs!"

Easter Bunny #2.

"Wow, Good job Zoey! Look at all those eggs!"

"Say, Happy Easter, Zoey"

A little fun in the park afterwards.

At home opening and sorting eggs. Zoey made two piles, one for candy and one for little toys.

Zoey thought it was funny when she opened the eggs to find her own little pet shop toys hiding inside of them, secretly stolen out of her toy basket the night before by Easter bunny #1 and #2.
