Christmas Eve & Day

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to Kay-Lynn's fondu party and had fun playing rock band on thier Play Station game. I sang to The Pretenders. Brian sang pretty good to Black Hole Sun. Zoey's favorite part was the chocolate covered strawberries.

Here is Zoey on Christmas Eve, opening up her special gift.

Here is Daddy trying to help Zoey get her present free from the box.

Zoey loved her little Disney Belle dolly with horse stroller. Here she is cradling her dolly and telling her cute little murmerings.

Giving Baby Belle a little push in her stroller.

"Good Night! I'm waiting for you Santa Clause!"

Christmas Morning

"Good Morning Zoey! What did Santa bring you?"

Daddy opening cards...

Mama opening her perfume set...

Zoey opening her little doll house people for the baby doll house she will be getting from her Grandma and Pa Bowman...so cute!

Santa brought Zoey her first little pet shop babies.

Zoey trying to climb into the pet shop bag.

We spent Christmas Day with Brian's Parents house. Here is Zoey posing in front of thier Christmas tree in her new little jogging suit that I actually bought for her one year ago and have been waiting to give to her. Isn't it cute?

This is Grandma Hotchner playing tea party with Zoey at the new little Pottery Barn table she got her for Christmas. Nancy Works for the company and gets great discounts! Awesome for Zoey. She loved it.

Daddy watching his Mother and Daughter play at thier tea party.

Zoey sat and pretend ate at her little table with an empty cup and plate for a half hour before Nancy's delicious Christmas lasagna was ready. She even had her own little candle. It was really cute.

Zoey is finally learning how to color. These are those new magic markers that only color on the special paper and not all over the walls or furniture. So cool!

Zoey and Great Grandma Frieda helping Grandpa Hotchner up off the couch where Zoey "pushed" him over. Zoey gets the biggest kick out him playing fun games with her and giving her horsey back rides around the house.

T'was the Day 'n a Half Before Christmas...

"Merry Christmas!" From my adorable little elf baby..

Zoey sitting on Daddy 'Santa Clause's' lap.

I finally managed to get a good night time photo of our Christmas tree. Isn't it cute?

Oh yeah! Nothing says Christmas like a good holiday cookie bake off!

Zoey ready to decorate the zillion miniture cookies I made!

She wouldn't stop eating all the toppings...little stinker pot!

"Here, Let Mama show you how to do it.."

Here is our beautiful plate of cookies that we will bring to Kay-Lynns Christmas Eve fondu party tomarrow. Yeah!

"Delicious! Num-Num"

Zoey's Disaster Day

I decide to sneak back into bed after feeding Zoey breakfast one morning before I had to get ready for work. She was supposed to be watching her cartoon and I only laid down for about 20 minutes. In that time, she managed all this chaous...
Here is all the loft, cheerios and raisins covering the floor, baby wipes and a diaper used for trying to change her dolly and all the blankets and pillow from the couch dumped on the floor.
Here is Zoey's bedroom with everything pulled out of the closet that she could reach down and spread all across the floor.
And here is the little Zoey monster whom I found taking off her diaper and then, sitting on the toilet 'after the fact', if you can see what I mean. Potty training has been so much fun. Bath time!
Zoey enjoying her reward after I made her go from room to room with me, cleaning up all her messes. She loves to pull all the toys in with her and then, splashes and gets the whole floor wet. More wonderful messes!
"But Mommy, I'm so cute! You aren't really mad at me, are you? I was only playing. I didn't mean to make a mess...I love you Mama."

Merry Christmas!

Here is the angel that sits on our baby fiber optic tree. She is only an ornament and is about the size of my hand but, beautiful and delicate looking just the same. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the Holidays. We are sending out our Christmas card photos and letters soon and hope to be recieving yours too. Its just not Christmas until you have cards and family photos hanging up on the back of the front door. Right Mom?

Our Pretend Christmas Party

Last Sunday we had our House Warming Holiday Party in which no one showed up. We invited 30 people, 20 of which told us they were coming and after cooking, cleaning and decorating we sat waiting...and waiting. Then, the phone rang and 5 of the couples canceled with being sick, family emergencies, etc. It was pretty depressing and kind of crazy, like some bad Christmas movie where no one shows up for the party. At least Brians parents and Grandmother came, we ate lots of food, have a ton of leftovers and plan to try again next year. Do you like my wreath? I made it from a plain green wreath, adding the berries, pinecones and shiney pear with leaves.

Here is the Beautiful, tasty ham that I cooked. My first one ever. At least I know how to cook one now and I have come to the conclusion that had we had people show up, I really could actually throw a pretty great party by way of preparing and cooking delicious food, etc.

This is my little decoration vase I made. I got the idea from a Pottery Barn magazine but, mine only cost about $7 to make versus $30. I got the vase at Walmart, bought pine cones and then threw in a couple of berries and leaves That I bought for my wreath.

This is our baby Christmas tree. It us a little fiber optic tree with miniture decorations. We wanted to get a real one this year but, it was too expensive and we had decided to spend that money on our pretend party instead. Ha Ha, its all pretty funny. Anyway, it is really cute when its all lit up at night. I just can't pull off getting a good night photo.
Here is Zoey before the Party trying to hide from me so that she won't have to get dressed up. Isn't she a little cutie? Hey Rhiannon, recognize your old nightgown? She fits in it!
Here is my cute little name badge for work at Sams club. I am actually working towards a transfer from cashiering to the Pharmacy and will find out soon if I got the postion for the transfer to the brand new store as the cake decorator coming up in March. Hopefully that all goes through soon so that I can stop breaking my back and further destroying my right shoulder with all the lifting of heavy cases of water, bags of rice and supersized cans of tomatoes!

My 30th Birthday!

It was my 30th Birthday on November 29th. I am now officially "over the hill".

I know some great secrets for staying looking young and believe me because I have tried these all. Don't drink alcohol, tea or coffee-it ruins your insides and stains your teeth, dont smoke-it is poison to the body and it makes your breath and hair stink, have kids-it keeps you in shape and you laugh just as much as you lose it, dont dye your hair-it takes years to grow it back out and use lots of lotion-it keeps skin soft and supple. Besides that, try to be happy in life, help those around you and accomplish as much as you possibly can!
Here is Mommy and Baby...growing one year older together.
Brian bought me a dozen purple roses for my Birthday and even made me dinner. His Dad brought over a cake and Zoey helped blow out my one candle. He also surprised me with tickets to Mystere by Cirque Du Soleil at Treasure Island. It will be my first Vegas show ever! Here is a photo of Zoey sitting on the counter eating my rose petals.
